Features | DOSATec dosing pump PRISMA

CONTROL RANGE
PRISMA pumps are characterised by extremely precise control with an impressive control range of up to 4800:1. This allows the dosing process to be divided into up to 4800 steps in order to achieve the most accurate and even distribution of the product to be dosed.

SLOW MODE
By activating the "slow speed mode", the suction speed can be reduced from 100% to 1% of the usual speed, which makes the suction and dosing of even very viscous media easier, more reliable and more accurate.

FLEXIBILITY
With the software and stepper motor of the PRISMA dosing pump, the dosing unit can be fully customised to your individual dosing requirements. There are several dosing programmes to choose from!

Areas of application | PRISMA dosing pump

Dosing of small and medium quantities of liquids:

Water treatment, process industry, acids, alkalis, flocculants and precipitants, dosing of higher viscosity media up to 10,000 CPS), etc.

Horticulture

Waste water

Industrie

Agriculture

Operation and functions | PRISM METERING PUMP

PRISMA is a dosing pump equipped with a diaphragm stepper motor. The microprocessor controls the position and speed of the diaphragm during the entire delivery and suction cycle.

PRISMA has functions such as level control, alarm functions and a stand-by mode. The available operating modes include constant operation, constant operation with external input, ppm, percentage, mlq, work interruption, weekly programme, mA, pulse, volt, external batch and manual batch. The mounting kit included in the scope of delivery enables quick and easy installation.

Questions | and answers

What operating modes are available for the PRISMA dosing pump?

The dosing pump can operate in one of the following ways:

- Constant - The pump delivers a constant quantity.

- ml per pulse - dosing

- PPM - proportional dosing in ppm

- Percent - proportional dosing in per cent

- MLQ - quantity-proportional dosing in MLQ

- Batch - use pump to fill a container

- Volt - control pump proportionally with 0-10V signal

- mA - control pump proportionally with 0/4-20mA signal

- Pulse - control pump proportionally via pulse signal

- Pause run - Set time-controlled surge dosing

What inputs and outputs does the PRISMA dosing pump have?

The Prisma pump has several inlets:

- Level signal (with pre-alarm)

- Pulse input (water meter), ppm mode, %, mlq, mA, V, pulse

- mA (0/4 ... 20 mA) for external control of the stroke frequency (power)

- Voltage input (0 ... 10 V) for external control of the stroke frequency (power)

- Start contact for BATCH operation

- External dosing release

Outputs:

- Alarm (relay free contact, N.O./N.C, max. 250 V AC, 2 A)

- RS485 or Modbus (optional), for integration into a process control system (slave) optional

- mA output, optional

What advantages does the PRISMA dosing pump offer compared to other dosing methods?

The DOSATec Prisma offers variable suction and pressure stroke speeds according to the desired delivery rate and suction height. This ensures a constant flow rate and enables gentle, low-pulsation dosing. In contrast to standard operation, the slow mode can reduce the maximum suction speed for viscous media.

The PRISMA stepper motor dosing pumps offer extremely precise control of the number of injections with an impressive turndown ratio of up to 4800:1. This allows the PRISMA pumps to divide the dosing process into up to 4800 steps, which enables extremely precise and homogeneous distribution of the product to be dosed depending on the application requirements. In addition to fine-tuning via the steps, extremely high dosing accuracy can also be achieved by setting cubic centimetres for pulses.

The PRISMA dosing pump is equipped with an encoder for quick and easy menu navigation and a large display for convenient setting of the operating parameters and monitoring of the pump functions.

In which industries is the PRISMA dosing pump used?

- Dosing of flocculants and viscose medium

- Chlorine dosing for drinking water treatment

- Precipitant dosing in wastewater treatment

- Dosing of flocculants

- CIP application

Is the PRISMA dosing pump easy to install?

The Prisma pump is easy to install, its simple menu navigation and large display make it easy to set.

What capacities are available for the PRISMA dosing pump?

Dosing capacity: 2 l/h | pressure range: 25 bar

Dosing capacity: 5 l/h | pressure range: 20 bar

Dosing capacity: 7.5 l/h | Pressure range: 16 bar

Dosing capacity: 13 l/h | Pressure range: 10 bar

Dosing capacity: 20 l/h | Pressure range: 7 bar

Dosing capacity: 28 l/h | Pressure range: 5 bar

Dosing capacity: 50 l/h | Pressure range: 4 bar

Dosing capacity: 80 l/h | Pressure range: 2 bar

The Prisma dosing pump is extremely user-friendly to operate. The intuitive design and clear display make it easy to set and monitor the desired dosing quantities. The reliability of this pump has made my operation more efficient and significantly reduced downtime.
